Waste Specialized Technology Creates New Value

SLC's Resource Circulation Technology Research Center, a leading institute in environment and energy technology, carries out specialized research on various fields such as landfill technology, energy resources, test & analysis, etc.

    1. Status enhancement as a specialized institution on waste

Resource circulation research and technology development

Leveraging our experience in operating eco-friendly sanitary landfills and a resource circulating energy town, we are leading a resource recycling society through systematic research and technology development in the field of waste reclamation and resource conversion.

We are conducting research on upgrading landfill operation management technology, such as Recovery of Greenhouse Gases through Landfill Gas Flare Stack, and Developing Ultra-high Speed and Steel Concrete containing Bio-sulfur which is by-product of waste. Also, we are trying to find out secure future technologies for carbon neutrality, such as hydrogen energy production and low-carbon technologies.

    2. Technological support for waste treatment facilities

In relation to the installation, use, termination, and follow-up management of waste treatment facilities, installers, etc., must be inspected by an inspection agency stipulated in the Waste Management Act. We were designated as a waste landfill facility inspection agency in January 2010, and are promoting inspections and technical support based on our 30 years of landfill operation expertise and technology.

  • Expanding technological exchanges in the resource circulation field
  • Holding a presentation on waste management and treatment technology

This has been held since 2004 to promote technological development by exchanging technologies and information in the waste field with industry-university-research experts, centering on us, and further contributing to the development of the waste industry.

Holding the Dream Park Resource Circulation Forum

We share information on our research and technological capabilities and expertise in operational management in the field of resource circulation, establish cooperative networks with domestic and foreign specialized research institutes and organizations, and provide a forum for technology exchange to discuss the latest technology trends and future development directions in order to build a foundation for continuous mutual cooperation.
