SLC has spread Korean environmental technologies across the world by sharing with developing countries its knowhow to operate the landfill site in an environmentally friendly manner and providing them with educational programs.
• Secure CER(Certified Emission Reduction) by implementing International GHG Reduction Project in the field of
oversea waste and landfill sector.
• Securing sales revenues and carbon credits through the LFG power generation projects- Design and installation of landfill gas incineration facility at NEDS landfill in Mongolia
- Efforts in developing new overseas projects including conducting feasibility studies for greenhouse gas reduction at the Hamici Landfill in Algeria.
• Developing a greenhouse gas reduction project for an overseas landfill site and contributing to reducing globalwarming substances and achieving 2050 carbon neutrality policy
• Building overseas cooperation networks through a master plan Establishment & feasibility study implementation
(33 cases) and signed memorandums of understanding & letters of intent on cooperation (45 cases) in Asia,
Africa, Eastern Europe, Americas, etc. And actively supporting the advancement of Korean businesses
into overseas environmental industries and creating public good values
• Developing cooperative projects with international organizations such as the World Bank, ADB, GCF.
- Held an International Workshop on new GCF project development in 6 developing countries, including Rwanda, Mongolia, and Laos
- Participating in field visits to Bangladesh and presenting seminars on World Environment Day at the invitation of the World Bank.
• Actively participating in international biddings and ODA projects(grant/loanbased)- Building an integrated waste management system of the Dompe Landfill Site in Sri Lanka, Establishing Nepal's
master plan for environmental improvement
• Cooperating with relevant overseas institutions, e.g. national environment ministries, to set up a master plan
for national waste management or jointly implement feasibility studies, thereby contributing to global
environmental improvement
- Site visiting and giving solutions and technical know-hows about environmental issues on Panama’s landfill site
as requested by Panama Government.
• Installing waste management and recycling facilities abroad, promoting projects for their operation &management, and providing technical support
- Consulting for Mozambique's Waste Treatment Facility Construction Project
• Training overseas public officials- Sharing with public officials from developing countries e.g. China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, etc. waste recycling
technologies and landfill operation knowhow
